The legend of Scottie Scheffler has reached an unimaginable height, and for once we are not talking about anything that has to do with his golf game.
Scheffler blew the field away at The Open Championship last week to win the fourth major of his career. He also blew a huge fart at one point during the first round at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland, and microphones picked up on it.
A video that was viewed millions of times on social media featured audio of what sounded like a very obvious fart after Scheffler hit his approach shot on the 17th hole.
The shot was almost perfect and rolled just past the hole to set up an easy birdie.

Scheffler was a guest on the latest episode of the “Pardon My Take” podcast, which was released on Friday. He was asked about the fart video and, without hesitation, admitted that it was him who let one rip.
“Yeah, that was me. Oh yeah, that was me,” Scheffler said with a smile. “You’re out there for like six hours. You’re eating some different food over there. Some stuff’s gonna happen. You never know with the boom mics there. You never know what they’re gonna pick up.”

Scheffler could have easily denied it, and most people would have believed him. There are microphones everywhere, so the fart could have come from anyone else that was standing near him at that moment.
Instead, Scheffler proved why he has been the No. 1 golfer in the world for over two years. Only a man who is dripping with confidence would happily admit to something like that.
