Twitter goes wild as Tiger Woods closes in on PGA Championship lead
There is no doubt about whether or not Tiger Woods is still a huge golf draw.
Tiger made consecutive birdies on 12 and 13 at the PGA Championship on Sunday to improve to 13 under for the tournament, placing him one stroke behind leaders Brooks Koepka and Adam Scott.
Fans on Twitter couldn’t stop raving about Tiger and how excited they were to see him in the mix for a major championship. Take a look:

If Tiger weren't within striking distance, I wouldn't be watching. He is, and I can't take my eyes off it. And I imagine there are a couple million others just like me.

This is just exhilarating. Back to back Majors with Tiger right there on Sunday. I'm so happy right now. I didn't know if we'd ever get to see this again.

Like millions of Americans, I'm watching Tiger. I'm not watching golf; if Tiger weren't in it I'd be only vaguely aware that there's some big golf tournament this weekend. But I'm watching Tiger.

If this sampling is any indication — and it usually is a good one — the ratings for the final round of the tournament are going to be enormous. This is the second straight major where Tiger generated fan interest by being in the mix on Sunday.
