Has Lamar Odom found someone who can help him clean up his act? The latest report from TMZ claims he has been spending a lot of time with — wait for it — Bruce Jenner.
Sources close to both Odom and Jenner reportedly told TMZ that the two have been spending “hours” together and that Bruce counsels Lamar on how to stay clean and deal with a lot of the issues he has going on. Jenner has also supposedly told those close to him that Odom is currently clean and has not been using drugs or drinking.
“Everybody’s got s–t in their life and they need to learn how to deal with it,” Jenner reportedly told a friend. “Lamar didn’t deal with his very well.”
The report claims Bruce believes Lamar is a “good soul” and wants to have a positive impact on his life. He said Odom has been working out and is not giving up on an NBA return. He also allegedly told friends that he plans to remain close with Odom even if Khloe Kardashian, one of Jenner’s stepdaughters, is committed to divorcing the former Los Angeles Laker.
Assuming it’s true, we can certainly file this one under “things we didn’t see coming.” During a couple of recent interviews, Odom flashed his wedding band when asked if he is still with Khloe. Lamar’s father also said a little over a month ago that the Kardashians are ruining his son, which Odom responded to by blasting his old man.
While it is yet another bizarre twist in what seems like a never-ending saga, we’re hoping Jenner is helping Odom get his life back on track. Since he has been associated with reality TV and the drama-loving Kardashians over the past several years, many people forget that Jenner was actually once an Olympic gold medalist.
