Evgeny Kuznetsov compared himself to Michael Jordan for his heroics in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Saturday night.
Kuznetsov was a game-time decision for Game 3 after leaving Game 2 following a hit from Brayden McNabb. He participated in the Washington Capitals’ morning skate and then proceeded to play in Game 3 and do well.
Kuznetsov assisted on the Caps’ first goal of the game and then scored their second in a 3-1 win.

He talked after the game about playing hurt.
“It’s emotional stuff. Like Michael Jordan, when he play his best game, he got hurt, got 53 points. … I mean like when you’re hurt, you play a little better always.”
Kuznetsov will have a day off before Game 4, and then two days off before Game 5. He’s doing what he can to help the Caps try to close out the series early, as they lead the Golden Knights 2-1.
