
Josh Morrissey avoided a penalty despite nailing Eric Staal in the head with a cross-check on Tuesday night, but he could face other discipline.
The Minnesota Wild had the puck on a power play when Winnipeg’s Morrissey cross-checked Staal in the ear in front of the goal.

The Jets defenseman was not called for a penalty on the play, but there is speculation that the league could review it and discipline him.
Morrissey assisted on a goal in the first period that put Winnipeg up 1-0. The Jets lead the series 2-1.
