KHL referee punched while breaking up fight (Video)
There is little doubt that being a hockey referee is a physical test. First of all, you have to be moving around and skating to keep up with the action. Secondly, well, you’re also in the line of fire during fights. One KHL referee found that out the hard way.
According to FOX’s Pete Blackburn, KHL official Pyotr Alyoshin was decked while breaking up a fight during a game between Sibir and Metallurg on Thursday.

Per Blackburn, the players involved in the fight that led to the official getting decked were Evgeny Timkin and Yuri Sergiyenko. Tough break for the official!
