A new video released by TNT on Sunday shows that Brad Marchand was sucker-punched by Sam Bennett during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference second-round playoff series between the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins.
Marchand took a punch to the face from Bennett. The Bruins star did not return to Game 3 after the hit and declared out for Sunday’s Game 4. He was described as “day-to-day.”
The video released by TNT on Sunday showed that Bennett definitively sucker-punched Marchand.

Bennett was not penalized on the play and did not receive any discipline from the league. He has a history of these plays and did something similar to Toronto’s Matthew Knies last year.

The Panthers took Sunday’s Game 4 by coming back from down 2-0 to win 3-2. After dropping Game 1 of the series, Florida has won three in a row against Boston.
