Report: Patrick Marleau would accept trade to one of three teams
San Jose Sharks forward Patrick Marleau would accept a trade to three teams, according to a new report.
The 36-year-old has a no-movement clause in his contract and would only move to the New York Rangers, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Kings, according to Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area.
The report also states that Marleau is likely pushing for the trade as opposed to the Sharks.
The Sharks are the only team Marleau has ever played for since they drafted him in 1997 and is the franchise leader in most offensive categories. However, he’s never even played in a Stanley Cup Final, and it’s no coincidence that the three teams he’d approve a trade to are all considered contenders.
