Zdeno Chara out for Game 4 of Bruins-Hurricanes series
The Boston Bruins will be without their captain as they try to close out their Eastern Conference final series with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Zdeno Chara is out for Thursday’s Game 4 of the series with an undisclosed issue. The Bruins captain was not on the ice for warmups before the game while John Moore was. The Providence Journal’s Mark Divver reported that the scratch was more precautionary.
Word is Chara scratch is more precautionary than serious

WBZ’s Dan Roche had been all over the situation. He reported that Chara was not on the first bus to the rink like usual and did not participate in the morning skate.
I want to clarify that we did NOT report that Zdeno Chara will or won’t play tonight in Game 4.
He wasn’t on the first bus to the rink(which he usually is).
Did not skate this morning(it was optional)
Reported it was a possibility and that would take a lot for him NOT to play.

The Bruins lead the series 3-0 and are a win away from advancing to the Stanley Cup Final. Chara has three points and is a +11 in 16 playoff games this year.
