Report: ‘Highly intoxicated’ Ryen Russillo entered condo, refused to leave

More details are emerging about the arrest of ESPN host Ryen Russillo in Wyoming.

According to the Jackson Police, a “highly intoxicated” Russillo entered a condominium that was not his and refused to leave. The condo’s two occupants did not know Russillo and asked him to leave, but he was too drunk to do so.

“Occupants pointed the suspect out who was found in a bedroom,” Jackson Police Lt. Roger Schultz said, via Emily Mieure of the Jackson Hole News & Guide. “He was too intoxicated to follow through with the request.”

Russillo was said to have bloodshot eyes and slurred his speech.

“He couldn’t coherently answer any questions,” Schultz said.

Police said Russillo did not appear to have forced his way into the condo, but the charges stemmed from his refusal to leave when asked, with the ESPN host said to be unsure of where he was and possibly under the impression that he was staying at the condo.

“He appears to have just walked in,” Schultz said. “He didn’t force entry.”

Russillo is facing charges of criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. He is facing a maximum fine of $750, though we’ll see if ESPN takes further action given the somewhat embarrassing information that is becoming public.
