Ryen Russillo arrested for criminal entry in Wyoming

Ryen Russillo, a longtime ESPN host who has a popular show with the World Wide Leader, has apparently gotten himself into some sort of trouble during a trip to Wyoming.

As Deadspin discovered, Russillo’s name appeared on the Teton County Sheriff’s Office inmate list on Wednesday. While there are no details yet about what Russillo is accused of having done, the 42-year-old was charged with a misdemeanor of criminal entry.

Criminal entry in Wyoming sounds similar to what most people refer to as trespassing. The first part of the legal definition describes criminal entry as follows:

A person is guilty of criminal entry if, without authority, he knowingly enters a building, occupied structure, vehicle or cargo portion of a truck or trailer, or a separately secured or occupied portion of those enclosures.

Russillo sent some tweets about the big Kyrie Irving trade Tuesday night, and one of his posts earlier in the week indicated he is visiting Wyoming.

Will Cain announced on Wednesday that he is filling in for Russillo on “The Ryen Russillo Show” and will be in for him for the rest of the week. It’s unclear if that has to do with the arrest or if Russillo was scheduled to be out anyway.

What a whirlwind the past several months have been for ESPN, huh? Between all the layoffs we have seen and now one of the network’s biggest TV personalities getting busted for criminal entry, the World Wide Leader may need to launch a new platform to cover its own internal happenings.
