Joe Much isn’t leaving ESPN anytime soon.
On Wednesday, Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported that ESPN and Buck agreed on a six-year extension worth $108 million. Buck is in the final year of a five-year, $75 million deal, so his salary now jumps to $18 million per season.
ESPN has the rights to its first Super Bowl in 2027, and Buck will also be with the network for the next time, which will be in 2031.

Buck had spent nearly three decades at Fox Sports, making his presence known while calling NFL and MLB games, including the World Series.
In April of this year, Buck said he would sign a contract with ESPN “without even looking at it,” adding that he has “loved every second” with the network since leaving Fox Sports.
Troy Aikman also left Fox Sports for ESPN the same year, and the two have become household names for the flagship sports network.
One week into the 2026 NFL season, Joe Buck’s future with ESPN is secured.
