Nick Denton: Gawker will appeal and expects to win
Gawker Media owner Nick Denton issued a statement on Friday after a jury awarded Hulk Hogan $115 million in damages over the company publishing a private sex tape of him.
Denton said in his statement that Gawker intends to appeal and expects to win.

Gawker recently took on investors to help fund the legal defense. The defense will only get more expensive during the appeals process.
Denton’s website group published a video of Hulk having sex with Heather Clem, the wife of his friend, Bubba the Love Sponge. It was a private tape and Hulk, real name Terry Bollea, said in his suit this was an invasion of privacy.
