Watch: Peter King gets pulled over during on-air chat with Dan Patrick
Using your cell phone while driving is against the law in many jurisdictions, as Peter King found out Thursday.
The well-known NFL writer for NBC Sports was live on the air with “The Dan Patrick Show” discussing Ezekiel Elliott’s contract situation when he interrupted the conversation to inform Patrick that he was being pulled over. King had to hang up the phone to speak to the policeman coming to the car, and Patrick began taking bets on whether King would be able to avoid a ticket or not.
The verdict?
“Of course I got a ticket,” King said. “I said to the cop, ‘I’m on with Dan Patrick,’ and he said, ‘here’s your ticket.'”
The moral of the story: don’t talk on the phone while driving. It’ll probably make one prominent personality pretty happy, though.
