Rich Eisen was too busy observing Yom Kippur to respond to your Michigan heckles
NFL Network host Rich Eisen sent what had to be my favorite tweet of the weekend.
Eisen, like ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter, is a proud Michigan alumnus. The Wolverines struggled to beat Akron over the weekend, and needed some help from a running clock to pull out the victory. Eisen and Schefter usually have a thing or two to say about their school over Twitter, but both were silent on Saturday. One Twitter follower noticed the silence and used it as material for some trash talk. But Eisen explained that he was off Twitter that day to observe the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, not because he was embarrassed over Michigan’s close call.
He hammered the Twitter follower with this awesome line:
It's called observing a Jewish holiday, asshat RT @Uncle_Tom_Hicks: Has anyone heard from @AdamSchefter and @richeisen? #MichiganStillSucks

Totally pwned. Well done, Rich.
In addition to smacking down his Twitter hecklers, I recently learned that Eisen made a cameo on Season 5, Episode 10 of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” as one of the guests at Sammie Greene’s bat mitzvah:
Curb’s only the greatest show in the history of television, and Rich was on it. Mad respect Rich, mad respect.
