Kimbo Slice will reportedly headline Bellator MMA event in February

Kimbo Slice Ken Shamrock

Kimbo Slice last fought when he defeated Ken Shamrock in an awesome bout back in June, and the famous street brawler is getting set to step into the ring again in a few months.

Jeremy Botter of the Houston Chronicle reports that Slice will headline Bellator MMA’s tentpole event on Feb. 19. While Bellator MMA officials have not confirmed the fight, president Scott Coker has teased that some big announcements will be coming at Bellator 145 Friday night. He also said in a recent interview that the winner of Bellator 145’s fight between Bobby Lashley and James Thompson could eventually face Kimbo.

Slice could fight multiple times in 2016.

“We’re going to fight him early next year and I think next year, you’re going to see Kimbo Slice fight three times in Bellator,” Coker said. “We might take a look at maybe the winner of that fight (Lashley vs. Thompson) and Kimbo. I’m not promising, I’m just saying.”

Slice is 41, but he proved in June that he is still able to bring it when he landed this awesome knockout punch on Shamrock shortly after it looked like he was going to be submitted. Ratings are always through the roof when he fights.
