Ronda Rousey stumping for role of Captain Marvel

Ronda-Rousey-Ms-Marvel

Ronda Rousey has been very open about the fact that she wants to pursue a full-time career in acting when she is done fighting. She has already starred in a few minor roles, but Rousey is obviously thinking of much bigger things for the future.

During a recent Reddit AMA, Rousey was asked which superhero she would want to play in a movie.

“Well, a lot of the good ones have been taken, but I’d like to vie for Miss Marvel,” Rousey replied.

Captain Marvel, originally known as Ms. Marvel, is a superhero that is set to be turned into a feature film in 2018. The lead role has not yet been announced, and we can definitely envision Rousey as Ms. Marvel after seeing some of the artwork fans shared with her.

We already know what Rousey can do in the Octagon, and you can see a reminder of that here. Although she has only starred in supporting roles thus far, the UFC women’s bantamweight champion has made it clear that this is the career path she wants to take in the relatively near future. A lead role as a superhero would be a great launching point.
