War Machine joked about killing Christy Mack if they broke up (Video)

War Machine may have just been joking when he talked about killing Christy Mack if they broke up, but his words may have contained some truth and foreshadowing in light of recent events.

War Machine and Mack joined Ariel Helwani on “The MMA Hour” for an interview on July 30, 2013, to promote War Machine’s fight at Bellator 100.

At around the 4:10 mark in the interview, Helwani asks War Machine about the “MACK” tattoo on his neck. Mack and War Machine challenged each other to get tattoos representing their relationship. Mack has a tattoo of a red stamp on her right shoulder that says “Property of War Machine.” War Machine got “Mack” on his neck.

If the two ever broke up, Helwani suggested Machine could just say he’s a “mack” as in a mack daddy and the tattoo will still be fine. War Machine said he already had an idea in mind for what he would do in case they broke up.

“I told her what I would do is I would just kill her and put ‘rest in peace,’ ” said War Machine.

“It’s fair enough, really,” Mack interjected.

“I would put rest in peace, Mack, and say this is a memorial to my dead girlfriend. You don’t know what happened to her, maybe she’s dead,” War Machine continued.

Mack then complied.

“I mean honestly I would probably deserve it,” said Mack.

What’s troubling about that exchange is that Mack said in her statement Monday that War Machine beat her weekly.

Even though her “I would probably deserve it” response was casual, it indicates the mindset of many domestic violence victims.

The two also talked about their relationship in the interview.

The relationship started with War Machine constantly tweeting Christy Mack in an attempt to get her attention. He was approached by Hustler for an article and then he suggested a photo shoot. When they asked what girl he wanted in the shoot, he said Mack, and that’s how they met.

War Machine said he didn’t think a relationship would develop between them and he figured he “would just caveman her a–” at the shoot.

But War Machine realized he really liked her, and they got together. Mack also expressed that performing in adult films was just temporary and that she had a five-year plan and exit strategy. She said she would give it up for War Machine.

Mack said in her statement that War Machine broke up with her in May and moved out of her Las Vegas home to San Diego. He says he came over to her house last week with an engagement ring to surprise her.
