Trinity Rodman received an apology from the BBC over how she was covered during Ben Shelton’s match at Wimbledon on Monday.
Rodman had complained on social media after BBC commentator Andrew Castle repeatedly misidentified her as “Tiffany” during Shelton’s win over Lorenzo Sonego on Monday. Rodman was also unhappy that her father, Dennis Rodman, was brought up.

Rodman’s complaint about her name, at the very least, did land. According to Emine Sinmaz of The Guardian, Castle issued an apology on Wednesday for “mispronouncing” Rodman’s first name.
Shelton and Rodman went public with their relationship earlier this year. The soccer star received a shoutout from Shelton after one of his matches at Wimbledon this year, and has been on hand to support him for the entire tournament.
Shelton was eliminated from Wimbledon on Wednesday, losing in straight sets to top overall seek Jannik Sinner.
