Everyone had the same question about Novak Djokovic after his loss

Novak Djokovic lost in straight sets in the Wimbledon semi-final on Friday, and both the loss and manner of it raised a big question among many.

Djokovic was defeated 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 by Jannik Sinner in a match that was not terribly close on Friday. The 38-year-old physically faltered during the match, and called out the physio after losing the second set.

The performance left some wondering if we would ever see Djokovic contend at Wimbledon again as he labored through the match. Djokovic was playing with a groin injury and did not seem to be moving well throughout the contest.

These aren't all on the same level, but how many majors has Djokovic finished looking 100% in the last two years? The physical challenges are a trend and not a surprising one at his age. pic.twitter.com/VEfKB0C3GY

This is honestly the first time i’ve ever thought “this is the end” when it comes to watching Novak Djokovic.

I hope this wasn’t Novak Djokovic’s final appearance at Wimbledon.

Djokovic still played some very competitive points, but it is fair to question how much more his body can give. The tennis icon has also admitted that the end may be near for him, calling into question whether he might have just played his final match at Wimbledon.

On the other hand, Djokovic has shown he can still play at a high level and made a major semi-final at the age of 38. It would be a mistake to write him off too soon, but Friday’s showing will leave more questions than answers.
