Stan Wawrinka has made point to his head his thing
As Stan Wawrinka improves his game and continues to show that he belongs in the same conversation as the big four tennis players of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray, he has developed his own trademark.
Wawrinka has made the point to his head his thing as a way of showing his mental strength. Stan did it during his US Open finals win over Djokovic on Sunday:

Then after the four-set victory, Wawrinka shared a finger-pointing emoji on Twitter, which is the symbol for what he does on the court:

Wawrinka has certainly earned the right to do this. He has proven his mental toughness by coming back from down a set to defeat Djokovic; going 3-0 in grand slam finals; and by winning his last 11 straight finals appearances on tour. As Djokovic said, Wawrinka is a big match player. And he has the trademark finger point to the head to prove it.
