Batista says Brock Lesnar breaking Undertaker’s streak ‘made me sick’

Fan Undertaker reaction

Brock Lesnar took down The Undertaker at Wrestlemania earlier this year in one of the most shocking defeats in WWE history. Prior to losing to Lesnar, Undertaker had been 21-0 in his Wrestlemania career. Some fans were so upset by the outcome of the match that they walked out of the Louisiana Superdome. WWE superstar Dave “Batista” Bautista knows exactly how they felt.

During a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Batista ripped the decision to have Undertaker lose like he did.

“It sucked! Honestly, I thought it sucked,” Lesnar said. “I haven’t really talked much about it but I think it was a bad decision, a horrible decision. I don’t have any say in the matter but to me, watching as a fan, it made me sick.

“Brock Lesnar beating him didn’t seem to work and it really wasn’t good that Brock left the day after. I just don’t see how that made sense at all. I don’t think anyone wanted to see the streak broken and it just didn’t make sense to me.”

I think most wrestling fans would agree with Batista. Lesnar, a three-time WWE champion, has bounced between mixed martial arts and wrestling. While he has been wildly popular during his time in the WWE, he is hardly the same type of legend that the Undertaker is. The streak eventually ending made sense. Having Lesnar end it didn’t.
