Stephanie McMahon would love Ronda Rousey to sign with WWE

Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey may never fight in the UFC again after she failed to regain her title with a loss to Amanda Nunes back in December, but that hardly means we have seen the last of her.

Rousey has spoken often about wanting to advance her acting career. And if she decides making a few WWE appearances could help her accomplish that goal, Stephanie McMahon said this week that the door is wide open.

“Everybody’s always asking me about Ronda,” the WWE chief brand officer told ESPN’s Jemele Hill and Michael Smith. “Yes. I know that she loves WWE and we certainly love her. It would be a match made in heaven. Hopefully one day we’ll have that opportunity.”

Spending some time in the WWE would make a lot of sense for Rousey. After she lost to Holly Holm in Nov. 2015, Rousey’s image and self confidence were seemingly shattered. Her entire MMA career centered around being an unstoppable force, and she has now lost two fights. We learned this week that Rousey has been working with a new nutrition specialist, which could mean she is looking to prepare for a UFC fight, acting roles, WWE appearances, or all of the above.

Rousey hasn’t said whether she will ever fight again in the UFC, though this Instagram post from January got people talking. If she does decide to close the book on her MMA career, the WWE could be a natural fit.
