WWE’s episode this week of “Friday Night SmackDown” had a very frightening moment for wrestler Big E.

During a match against Ridge Holland, Big E landed on his head as Holland attempted a belly-to-belly suplex move on him. The camera quickly cut away from Big E, and medical personnel rushed to his aid.

Big E ultimately had to be stretchered away but flashed a thumbs-up to the crowd on his way out of the arena.

Some time later, Big E, whose real name is Ettore Ewen, shared an update on his health to Twitter. He sounded upbeat and said that he would be OK, showing that he was able to move his fingers just fine. Unfortunately though, Big E said that he suffered a broken neck in the accident.

It sounds like Big E is potentially dealing with a fractured vertebrae, which is still a serious injury. The good news however is that he appears to be alright in the grand scheme of things.

Big E is one of the bigger stars in WWE today. Last September, he won the WWE Triple Crown, becoming just the 33rd wrestler in history to do so.
