Yes, I’m partial to the Angels, no question about it. But I don’t think I have mis-ranked Vlad. Maybe it speaks to how underrated he is.

Good call on Sizemore though, very compelling.

As for T-Haf, I hope people start realizing how good he is.

Larry is partial to the Angels and Vlad is one of the scariest hitters in baseball who single-handedly carries an offense without any kind of protection to speak of. I wish he had come to the Dodgers like he should have.

Ichiro can get a hit but if he does, it’s going to be a single. He’s like a Tony Gwynn except he’s not fat. I like him for 2007 – contract year.

The most compelling, young hitter in the American league, to me, is Grady Sizemore. How much power is he going to have?

Good stuff.

Great call on Hafner. He’s just a fantastic, fantastic hitter, but I feel like not many people really know it.

A couple of disagreements… I agree with Zach that Vladdy should be dropped down a little. Also, I don’t think Ichiro should be in the top 10. He’s obviously excellent, but is plate discipline and lack of power would leave him out of my top 10. I’d probably have Sizemore up a little higher.

But all in all, great list!

great question.

i’d probably drop Vlad a bit. tons of raw talent, but the discipline, as you said, isn’t there. is OBP probably is lower b/c he doesn’t walk a ton, and while that doesn’t mean he won’t a get a clutch hit, he might not be that guy to get on base to start a rally.
