Texas could ill afford to lose their ace. They’ve stumbled out of the gates to an 11-16 record, and they current sit in a tie for last place in the American League West. They’re riddled with significant injury problems outside of Hamels as well. The lefty has put up a 3.03 ERA in five starts. He will absolutely be missed.
