Cubs savagely troll rival Cardinals on Twitter
The New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox rivalry is often the one getting all the love, but the Chicago Cubs are here to remind us that their rivalry with the St. Louis Cardinals is still pretty juicy as well.
The Cubs are in Kansas City this week for an interleague series against the Royals. On Monday, they posted a shot of Kauffman Stadium to their official Twitter page with a reference to it being “the finest view in the entire state of Missouri.” It was an obvious diss to the Cardinals, who are also in Missouri.

While the Cubs currently lead the National League Central, they are just 6-8 against the Cardinals this season, which could explain the desire to get back into the win column on social media.
Still, it’s hard not to like anything that stokes the flames of a historic sports rivalry (and one that has been heating back up again over the last year).
