Yankees take ruthless shot at Red Sox on Twitter
The Boston Red Sox are already thinking about how they can improve their roster for next season, but the person running their Twitter account spent some of Tuesday reminiscing about the good times. The New York Yankees weren’t going to let their rivals get away with that.
Tuesday marked the 13-year anniversary of the Red Sox beginning the greatest comeback in MLB postseason history. They couldn’t help but tweet about it, reminding fans of Dave Roberts’ famous stolen base that helped Boston come back to win Game 4 of the ALCS.

But while the Red Sox were busy living in the past, the Yankees were preparing for Game 3 of this year’s ALCS. The people in charge of the Bronx Bombers’ social media account let Boston hear it.
Ah, work day for us. Game time is 5:08pm, if you're not busy.

Now that’s what we call a BURN.
The rivalry between the Red Sox and Yankees has been disappointing for years now, and it doesn’t appear that the sign-stealing debacle from earlier this season is going to reignite it. If ruthless tweets are what it takes, we’re all for it.
