CBS Chicago encouraging fans to write complaints to Derrick Rose

Derrick RoseThe Chicago Bulls currently hold a 3-2 series lead over the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round of the playoffs, and people are already buzzing about the possibility of Derrick Rose returning to face the Miami Heat if they are able to advance. Rose has said multiple times that he will not come back unless he is 100 percent healthy, but Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said he is not opposed to inserting his start point guard into the lineup whenever he’s ready.

In the meantime, fans have become flabbergasted and frustrated. Rose was reportedly cleared to play almost a month ago but has been waiting until he can confidently dunk off his left foot. Fans witnessed him dunking in pregame warmups back in February, but the former MVP continues to watch games from the bench. Now, CBS Chicago is encouraging Bulls fans to call Rose out by writing letters to him.

It’s been over one year since Derrick Rose’s ACL tear and over two months since doctors cleared him to play.

Still, the former MVP of the league refuses to leave his post on the Bulls bench. Meanwhile, the hobbled Bulls continue to fight on against the Nets in Round 1 of the NBA playoffs.

Frustrated? Here’s your chance to express your feelings to Rose.

In the space below, write an open letter to the face of the Bulls franchise. Yell at him, plead with him, convince him – this is your chance to say whatever it is you want to say to Derrick Rose.

If you ask me, that seems a bit unnecessary. Rose is a known competitor. If he thought he could help the Bulls, he would be playing. Letters from the fans via a local radio station are not going to get him on the court any faster.
