New Celtics Ad Takes Shot at Lakers, Heat Fans (Video)

The Boston Celtics recently released a preview of their new marketing campaign. The campaign’s message is “I am a Celtic.” The purpose of the campaign is to make the fans feel important — like they’re part of the team. But of course they couldn’t resist a chance to take a shot at Lakers and Heat fans. Here is the video via Red’s Army:

I am not Hollywood. I am not South Beach. I am Causeway Street.

If their intent was to fire up the fans, the plan no doubt worked. The only issue is that now the players have to back them up. For Boston’s sake, I just hope the marketing campaign doesn’t backfire the way this one did.
