Chandler Parsons could not attend a girl’s prom, so he got her a party bus instead

Chandler ParsonsChandler Parsons was unable to attend the prom of one of his fans, but he still did his best to make the young girl’s day.

A girl named Stephanie Flores, who appears to be a huge Houston sports fan, tweeted to the Rockets forward on May 20 to ask him to her prom.

Flores then enlisted her friends to bombard Parsons with tweets on her behalf to ensure he would see the prom request.

After at least 15 of her friends sent tweets to the second-year player, she got a response:

Just getting a response from Parsons was enough to make the girl’s day:

Since Parsons had already done well by responding to his fan, he could have left things as is and still been ahead of the game. But he decided to go the extra mile to make Flores’ prom special.

A Rockets employee contacted Flores to get her information, and Parsons ordered a party bus for her and her friends.

Yup, that’s Flores posing in front of the party bus with a Rockets towel and foam finger:

Thanks Chandler Parsons for the party bus! :) #Rockets

And here everyone was thinking that Parsons wasn’t fan-friendly because of this video. He sure proved everyone wrong.

What an awesome gesture by Parsons. And what is it about Houston athletes treating their fans so well?
