DeAndre Jordan, Clippers talking contract extension

DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre Jordan and the Los Angeles Clippers are talking about a potential contract extension.

Jordan is set to earn $22.6 million this season and has a player option for just over $24 million next year. The 29-year-old center may be on his way to getting a new deal in place.

The Los Angeles Times’ Brad Turner shared the news on Jordan and the Clippers Friday via Twitter.

Turner also notes that Jordan does not currently have an agent and is representing himself in negotiations.

The Clippers just lost Chris Paul this offseason and will enter the year with a new-look team. They still have Jordan and Blake Griffin, while they add Danilo Gallinari, Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley and a few other former Rockets. If they can avoid injuries, they should be a playoff team in the West.
