The Buffalo Bills are reportedly eyeing one player from last season’s Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bills hosted wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling for a meeting on Monday night, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Valdes-Scantling made his way to Buffalo after a meeting last week with another notable AFC team.

The Bills let go of their top two wide receivers from last season, Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis. The pair were first and second on the Bills, respectively, in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. Filling the 15-touchdown void left by the two departing veterans was arguably Buffalo’s top offseason priority.

The Bills recently signed a former NFC team wide receiver looking for a fresh start. Buffalo also added a standout wideout prospect in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft. But the team still appears to be looking for additional receiver depth.

Valdes-Scantling spent his last two seasons with the Chiefs. The 29-year-old had his worst statistical season in 2023. He caught just 21 passes for 315 yards and 1 touchdown — all career worsts for the veteran wideout.

Chiefs fans may remember Valdes-Scantling for one huge blunder more than any of his 21 catches last season.
