Luka Doncic had sarcastic answer to reporter’s question
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic has evidently fought through a lot of pain in his team’s Western Conference semifinal series against the Oklahoma City Thunder. On Monday, he sounded tired of talking about it.
The Mavericks let a Game 4 win slip away in a 100-96 loss to the Thunder at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
The Mavs led by as many as 14 points and led for the majority of the contest. But a late collapse and some missed free throws during crunch time — one coming from Doncic — allowed the Thunder to tie the series 2-2.
Doncic, who has battled through both knee and ankle injuries in the series, was asked about his physical state after the Game 4 clash. The Slovenian gave what seemed to be a sarcastic response.
“Luka, you played really hard on the defensive end today, err, tonight. How are you feeling, just physically, right now?” asked the reporter.
The question drew an annoyed smirk from Doncic and a one-word answer.
“Great,” Doncic replied.

Doncic’s postseason media sessions have been quite eventful of late. After the Mavericks’ Game 2 win last week, a clip from Doncic’s postgame press conference went viral for a peculiar reason.
However, Game 4 was far from “great” for Doncic, who finished with just 18 points on 6/20 shooting from the floor.
Dallas shot a miserable 12/23 (52.2%) from the free throw line in a game decided by four points.
