Ellie Day, the wife of champion golfer Jason Day, was taken off the court at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland following a collision with LeBron James on Thursday night.
James was going for a loose ball late in the fourth quarter of the Cavs-Thunder game and ran into the area where fans were sitting courtside. He bowled right into Day and knocked her over:
Day initially seemed to be amused that James was coming at her, but that quickly changed when she felt the weight of the massive 260-plus pounder crushing her.
Day was taken off the court in a stretcher and then was transported to a local hospital.
James obviously felt badly and sat nearby Day as she was taken away.
The Days live in Columbus, Ohio, and regularly attend Cavs home games. They have been married since 2009. Ellie, formerly Ellie Harvey, accompanies Jason around tour while taking care of their kids. She is popular among fans for doing things like awesome ticket giveaways.
