Knicks had therapy dog fan named ‘Polo’ behind bench at game
Meet Polo, the dog who took the internet by storm on Wednesday night while rocking his New York Knicks jersey and enjoying some basketball. Those of you who were watching the Knicks win a close game over the Atlanta Hawks may have noticed the French bulldog sitting behind Mike Woodson and company. According to MSG Network’s Tina Cervasio, Polo is actually a therapy dog.
That explains why Polo was allowed to sit courtside on a night where no “Bring Your Pooch” promotion was taking place. Neither Polo nor Woodson seemed pleased with the product on the court late in the first half, despite New York’s 13-point lead:
Dare I say Polo is a good luck charm? The Knicks improved to 3-4 on the season with a win over the Hawks, and we already know owner James Dolan is not going to stand for any losing streaks. Someone needs to get Polo season tickets.
