Michael Irvin calls out Rockets for effort during Game 6
The Spurs cruised to an easy victory over the Rockets on Thursday and the effort (or lack of) displayed by the Rockets did not sit well with Michael Irvin.
San Antonio was without injured stars Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker. And, they were on the road. None of that mattered as they had a relatively easy time bringing Houston’s season to an end with a commanding 114-75 victory. For much of the game, the Rockets looked like they were sleepwalking and MVP candidate James Harden looked anything but that.
The lackluster performance by the Rockets in a home game they had to win to keep their season alive prompted Cowboys great, and Hall of Famer, Michael Irvin to call out Houston for their lack of effort.
Cant believe the effort fr @JHarden13 & @HoustonRockets vs @spurs w/o @kawhileonard/@tonyparker maybe the worse EVER in a close out game

Given what was at stake for Houston, it was a truly shocking outcome, to say the least. Credit to the Spurs for coming away with an impressive victory without their best player, but the Rockets didn’t exactly make them work very hard for it.
