The Las Vegas Raiders have decided on their next head coach.
The Raiders intend to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as their new coach, according to multiple reports. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Kubiak met with both the Raiders and Arizona Cardinals on Saturday, but has opted to take the Raiders job.

Due to Kubiak’s duties with the Seahawks, the Raiders cannot officially complete the hire until after Super Bowl LX.
Kubiak has been consistently linked to the Raiders for a while now, and always appeared to be his most likely destination. The team can offer the No. 1 pick, likely meaning Kubiak will be tasked with drafting and developing Fernando Mendoza as the team’s franchise quarterback.
Kubiak, 38, has risen quickly through the coaching ranks. The son of former NFL head coach Gary Kubiak, he is finishing his first season as Seattle’s offensive coordinator. He also worked for the New Orleans Saints for one season in that same role, and previously spent time as Kyle Shanahan’s passing game coordinator in San Francisco.
This decision means the Cardinals have the final remaining head coaching vacancy in the NFL. Even before Kubiak’s final decision, they had been linked to a different slate of leading candidates.
