Twitter jokes about LeBron James leaving for Sixers after blowout
LeBron James’s Cleveland Cavaliers were blown out at home 98-80 by the Indiana Pacers in the first game of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals on Sunday, and the internet was quick to react.
With James facing free agency and the Cavaliers looking more vulnerable than they have at any point since 2015, Twitter had a lot of jokes about his potential future. One popular angle was to play up rumors that James could be interested in joining the Philadelphia 76ers, widely regarded as the team of the future in the Eastern Conference.

There have been plenty of rumors backing the talk that James and the Sixers could be a match in free agency. That said, the Cavaliers have a lot of time left to turn things around, and even if they don’t, James to Philly is probably a longshot.
