Clemson has giant pizza party to celebrate playoff berth
Clemson wrapped up an unbeaten regular season on Saturday night with a win over North Carolina, clinching their spot in the College Football Playoff in the process. On Sunday, as Dabo Swinney promised, it was time to celebrate with a 20,000 person pizza party at Death Valley.
Swinney promised a pizza party to celebrate the season, and on Sunday, 20,000 fans joined with the players and coaches to do just that while watching the playoff selection show. According to ESPN’s broadcast, the party was so huge that it required ten different Papa John’s franchises from five different towns to sufficiently feed everyone. But it looks like it was well worth the trouble, judging from pictures from the ESPN and Clemson Twitter feeds.
