The Packers made a statement in Houston on Sunday night. After a surprisingly poor 2-3 start to the year, many were wondering what was wrong with Green Bay’s offense and whether or not they would make the playoffs. Now that they dismantled the previously undefeated Texans, some of those critics have been silenced. As you can see from the video above, Aaron Rodgers alluded to that in his postgame interview.
Rodgers threw for a season-high 338 yards and six touchdowns. Jordy Nelson finally broke out with 121 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Despite J.J. Watt mocking Rodgers belt celebration at one point, Green Bay’s offense did whatever it wanted all night long. On defense, the Packers completely bottled up Arian Foster and held him to 29 yards on 17 carries.
All that being said, Green Bay is still 3-3. It was certainly a break-out game for the offense, but there is still work to be done. It’s going to take more than one game of the Packers looking like the Packers of old to completely silence the doubters.Google+
