Adrian Peterson reportedly has ‘ligament damage’ in knee
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson suffered a knee injury during Sunday night’s win over the Green Bay Packers, and it sounds like he is dealing with more than a minor tweak.
According to Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole, initial tests revealed that Peterson has ligament damage in his right knee.
Source said there is some ligament damage for Adrian Peterson, MRI Mon will show how much. But there's confidence he'll play again this year

Peterson will undergo an MRI on Monday. A major injury like a torn ACL can almost always be detected right when it happens, so Peterson is likely not dealing with another one of those. In fact, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer indicated A.P. may have dodged a bullet.
Mike Zimmer said Adrian Peterson would have MRI today, but injury may not be as bad as first feared: "Whatever it was, it calmed down now."

Still, it would not be a surprise to see Peterson miss multiple games. The 31-year-old was limping heavily and needed help getting to the locker room. You can see a video of the play here.
The Vikings have already lost Teddy Bridgewater for the season due to a devastating knee injury. Any extended absence for Peterson would be tough to overcome.
