Bart Scott hid in bathroom during free agent visit with Browns (Video)

Bart Scott spent 11 seasons in NFL, seven with the Ravens and four with the Jets. Back in 2005, Scott had the opportunity to test the market as a free agent and, as expected, he did just that. He ultimately returned to the Ravens, signing a three-year extension. How that happened has a great story behind it.

Scott scheduled a meeting with the Browns, who were hoping to land the talented linebacker. However, Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens had other ideas. As Scott told the Simms & Lefkoe Show, Newsome contacted Scott while he was at the Browns’ facility and actually hid in the bathroom to talk to Newsome and agree on the new contract.

There are a few great things packed into that 48 seconds. The “hells yeah” is fantastic. So is the impression of Romeo Crennel. Then, there’s the brotastic fist bump between Scott and Simms. However, the best part is that when the Scott went into the bathroom the Browns thought they had a legitimate shot to sign him and when he came out that chance was zero.

I’m not sure where this ranks on the list of “Most Cleveland Browns Things Ever” but it definitely deserves consideration for a spot in the top half.
