North Dakota State product Carson Wentz posted an impressive 40-yard dash time that should further cement his status as a top quarterback prospect entering the NFL draft.
Wentz tested tied for second in his quarterbacks group at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis with a 40-time of 4.77. That tied him with TCU’s Trevone Boykin. Louisiana Tech quarterback Jeff Driskel, who transferred from Florida, led the group with a highly impressive 4.56 40-time.

Most of the quarterbacks like Cardale Jones, Dak Prescott and Connor Cook were all in the same range. Driskel is the one who stood out the most, but Wentz’s 40-time really helps his case for being the first quarterback taken off the board.
