Believe it or not, there actually was one highlight we were able to take away from the incredibly sloppy game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets on Thursday night. It came after Chandler Jones sacked Geno Smith late in the second quarter.
The defensive end recorded two sacks in the ugly 13-10 victory. We have no idea what you would call the dance he busted out after one of them, though it doesn’t really matter. People tend to love sack dances that mock opponents, but Jones took an original approach. Hopefully it sticks and we get to see him do it all season.
UPDATE: Some commenters have pointed out that the dance is known as the “South Dallas Swag.” I’m glad I know the name now, because I’ll definitely be doing it at the next wedding I go to.
Also, Jones’ brother, Arthur Jones, who plays for the Baltimore Ravens, had this funny tweet about his bro:
Lol my little brother @Chan95Jones is balling!!! I'm going to have to teach him how to dance though. Haha
