Chris Kluwe Mocks Roger Goodell’s Letter, Lockout on White Board

The white board of Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe is back, and that is good for everyone. In case you don’t remember, Kluwe took to his cartoon figures to point out the hypocrisy in the NFL’s punishments of hard hits. The former Bruin continued his critical ways when he tweeted that TCF Bank Stadium had an “unplayable” surface back when the Vikings were set to play there.

Now that he has plenty of time on his hands because of the lockout, Kluwe’s back to his creative drawings. He tweeted out the picture above on Friday and shortly thereafter this “letter” from Roger Goodell:

Good thing Roger Goodell isn’t like David Stern otherwise Kluwe would be banned from the league and our off-season entertainment would be gone. Keep it up, Chris, we need the entertainment!

what is there to prove? the operating incomes of most teams range from 50million to losses. These aren’t fudged numbers, it’s reality. What employee anywhere looking for a raise demands to see the books of the company he works for and gets it? Nobody. Unreasonable is what the players want

Perhaps we should start holding the players accountable for increases in ticket prices and merchandise.

Not a bad idea, how about they just give the players everything they want…. but oh by the way, the players will now pick up 50% of the
tab for stadiums, food, travel, etc. Cowboys operating income is like 50 million, but they, Jerry, owe 800 million for the stadium.
Players would be begging for the current offer

The owners should open up there books to show exactly what they spend when the players open up their personal books to show exactly what they make and where they spend it.

    Dear Chris Klue,

It’s a good thing you get paid a lot of money TO KICK A FOOTBALL a few times a year, because your art sucks. Oh, wait, why am I responding to your nonsence…YOUR JUST A KICKER…I’m sorry…YOU’RE PUNTER!! Which means you’re twice as useless as the kicker. You shouldn’t even be part of the union…you don’t play football.!

I think the owners should have to open their books to the players.

The owners are claiming they are losing money. Its one thing to negotiate and say this is how much money I’ll pay you to play football for me.

Its another thing to say I can’t pay you anymore than this because I’m losing money.

If ” losing money ” is the basis for the owners argument, then I think the burden falls upon them to demonstrate that claim.

Remember whe the Atlanta Braves and Turner news were playing accounting games designed to show how the Braves were making less money than they actually were making?????

I have no doubt that the owners are capable of doing similar things.

The players have to deal with a lifetime of physical problems incurred while playing football.

I don’t blame them for trying to maximize their earnings while they can.
