Dez Bryant reportedly caught breaking curfew at a Dallas nightclub (UPDATED)

Over the summer, the Dallas Cowboys implemented a set of rules for Dez Bryant to abide by in order to help him stay out of trouble off the field. One of those rules stated that he had to be home by midnight unless a team official knew he was staying out later. Bryant may have broken curfew early Saturday morning.

According to Black Sports Online, Bryant was at a club in Dallas called Private well after midnight on Friday night into Saturday morning and had his cover blown by the visiting DJ. DJ Klassik tweeted the following and appeared to accidentally sell Bryant out.

You could make the argument that Bryant had permission from the Cowboys to break curfew, but DJ Klassik then sent the following two tweets, which seem to indicate he was informed that he had gotten the star wideout in trouble.

Bryant said he supported the new rules back in August and expressed a desire to change. We should also note that there’s nothing wrong with a grown man being at a club late at night when he doesn’t have work the next day, but it’s a matter of principle. If he wasn’t going to follow the rules, he should never have come out and said he supported them. Not to mention, Dez is nursing an injured hip which never helps the public’s perception.

Considering the amount of absent-minded moments he has had on the field this season, this is not the type of attention Bryant needs to draw to himself.

UPDATE: According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Bryant was given permission to stay out late to celebrate his birthday, which is on Nov. 4.
