Ezekiel Elliott reminded he owes Cardale Jones $5 after signing contract
Ezekiel Elliott became the latest draftee to sign his rookie contract on Wednesday. Then, he was reminded of something by former a former teammate.
The fourth overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft put pen to paper on a four-year contract with the Cowboys worth nearly $25 million that includes a signing bonus of just over $16 million. To mark the occasion, Elliott tweeted a photo of himself with the contract and a smile.

Now that Elliott’s bank account received a boost, it’s time to start paying those old debts. That’s what his old backfield mate Cardale Jones thinks, anyway. Jones jokingly replied to Elliott’s tweet reminding him of the five dollars he owes him.
About time, I've been waiting on that 5 dollars too long, pay up lol congrats ?? https://t.co/4eqOkyD9m5

To a college student, that’s not necessarily an inconsequential amount. Now that Elliott and Jones are in the NFL, they can sit back and joke about those times they loaned each other five dollars. Good times, indeed.
