Micah Parsons has verbally sacked any doubters still concerned about what he’d look like once he takes the field this coming season.
The Green Bay Packers star remains on the mend after suffering a torn ACL during the Green Bay Packers’ Week 15 clash against the Denver Broncos last season. The best-case scenario for Parsons is reportedly a Week 6 return against his former team, the Dallas Cowboys.
While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Parsons had a stern message when questioned about whether he’d look like the same All-Pro talent he was before the injury.
“People are worried about the knee; they should be worried about how I’m going to play when I get back,” Parsons said, via ESPN’s Rob Demovsky. “The anger, the frustration, the things that I’m going to have to let out because of how long it’s been since I played.
“So I think that’s what people should really worry about. Like, how great is Micah going to be when he gets back? Not about when I get back, because that’s the short term. It’s about how great I’m going to be, how I can help my teammates, and how far we’re going to go into a playoff run.”
Parsons is a 5-time Pro Bowler who has finished as a Defensive Player of the Year finalist in four of his five NFL seasons. Part of his success has stemmed from his explosiveness off the line for the Cowboys and later the Packers.
While the Packers star may exude confidence heading to his first season post-injury, fans will probably need to see him inflict some pain on an opposing quarterback before buying more Micah Parsons stock.
