Jeremy Shockey takes shot at Warren Sapp over recent arrest
Warren Sapp and Jeremy Shockey both went to the University of Miami, but the relationship between the two is chilly to say the least.
Back in 2012, Sapp alleged he was informed through a source that Shockey was the snitch who made the NFL aware of the Saints’ bounty system, which prompted Shockey to vehemently deny the claims and blast Sapp. Shockey even went as far as toattack Sapp’s character. Shockey also posted a screen shot of a text conversation between himself and Saints head coach Sean Payton to prove their relationship was indeed fine and there were no hard feelings between the two of them.
Despite Sapp’s apology, the former tight end is still apparently not above taking a shot at the Hall of Famer during his recent troubles. Shockey posted the above photo to his Instagram account after learning of Sapp’s arrest for assault and solicitation of a prostitute early Morning with the following caption “Just heard from My SOURCE Warren Sapp charged with Soliciting a Prostitute! Damn so Sad.”
Ouch. Talk about kicking a man when he’s down. However, in Shockey’s defense, the label of a snitch is pretty high on the list of ones you don’t want to have and is hard to shake if it’s attached to you. It’s evident Jeremy Shockey wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity for a little payback.
